How can you make a difference? 

The Education Section, UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Regional Office (EAPRO), is seeking an individual consultant to edit and finalize reports, concept papers, articles, and other write ups to meet standards required for publishing.
 

Work Assignment:

The consultant will perform the following tasks:

• Significant redrafting and editing – rewriting some sentences, fixing grammar, making spelling and style consistent;
• Some restructuring of the document;
• Applying Microsoft Word styles to the document to assist graphic designer and to make the structure clear;
• Asking questions about meaning;
• Reviewing answers to those questions and to editing, and finalising the document for the designer;
• Communicating as needed with UNICEF team.

Work Schedule & Deliverables:   

Final confirmation of timeline will be within 3-4 weeks before publication date. However, below is a tentative work schedule

Duration of Contract:  50 days over 1 January 2022 – 15 December 2022

Working Location:  

The consultant will work remotely. All office supplies and materials will be provided by the Consultant.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

• Prior editing and writing experience of UNICEF reports
• Excellent command of English language with quality written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated experience of working in the Asia Pacific Region
• Familiarity with Education technical language is preferred
• Ability to work under pressure in an organized and systematic way
• Ability to work unsupervised and independently

Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
