The IT Team is responsible for the Corporate tools and technology that is required for the company to operate effectively and efficiently. We are a growing IT department that plays an integral role in the company’s ability to perform their day-to-day tasks. While supporting an ever growing number of users with top tier tools and applications, our IT team is always aiming to achieve the highest goals and produce the best experience possible for our end users.
Coursera is looking for a capable and motivated IT Security Administrator to guide, define and enforce additional security measures on our internal systems. We are looking for a veteran security expert who is able to evaluate, report and recommend solutions to help improve our environment. We run a fast-paced, but casual office, in a supportive atmosphere. As part of a small but growing IT team, you get to not only work on many top notch pieces of software, but you will also have the ability to shape the future of Coursera.
This role will be responsible for the day-to-day evaluation and execution of security improvements throughout the company. You will work closely with our InfoSec team to ensure we are exceeding our compliance requirements as well as providing the team with guidance and ideas to continue and improve our day-to-day security needs. This is a hands-on position and applicants must have significant experience executing on detailed cross-functional projects in order to contribute to our amazing IT team.

Responsibilities:
- Manage Endpoint Security system and look for anomalies while checking on threats/notifications in our wide range of systems and applications as well as reports from end users
- Work with Infosec and third-party vendors on audits and security validation and certifications
- Report on and provide input for OS Patching requirements and potential vulnerabilities
- Recommend & implement policies to keep users and organization protected
- Audit system/application security reports and remediate potential issues
- Partner with other teams/orgs to review and implement security best practices
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience administering and securing IT Systems and Applications
- Up to date knowledge of current security best practices and industry standards
- CISSP or SSCP or CCSP certifications or similar
- Technical knowledge of cloud computing and SaaS
- Experience working with IDP(s) such as (Okta, Onelogin, GSuite)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment solving complex security problems
- An open-minded individual with a strong understanding of user experience as well as data security
- Solid understanding of change management
- Experience working on cross-functional projects between departments
- Experience working in a heavily SaaS based environment
