During this current situation with COVID-19, the ABA will
continue to accept and process applications for job opportunities. We

for the time being.
The ABA recruits employees seeking opportunities for challenging and substantive work defending liberty and pursuing justice in the U.S. and around the world. The ABA offers competitive employment benefits which include medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, a 401(k), commuter benefits, and more.
This position will direct a new project entitled the ABA Legal Education Police Practices Consortium (“the Consortium”) in conjunction with 50+ ABA accredited law schools. The Consortium is a national, collaborative effort between the ABA and law schools to identify and advance best practices in policing, including those related to social justice. The Consortium endeavors to facilitate coordinated and research opportunities for scholars and students and to promote scholarship and scholarly activity (including symposia and academic conferences, in person and online) on issues relating to police practices. It aims to build fruitful partnerships among academics/researchers and law enforcement leaders and elected officials at the local, state, and national levels, and otherwise to work towards the development and implementation of needed reforms. The Consortium also will devise and disseminate model curricula for law school adoption and promote other academic activity related to law enforcement practices.
This effort will include creating and maintaining a web presence (website/social media) to raise awareness and share information about best practices in policing, and working with law schools to create and oversee opportunities for law students to contribute to this effort. The Consortium works in partnership with the ABA Criminal Justice Section, and is advised by a ten-member council of law school deans and ABA representatives.
