Candidate age: between 18 and 29 throughout the entire duration of their assignment. Applicants must be nationals of or legal residents in the country of assignment.

Under the direct supervision of Statistics Specialist, the National UN Youth Volunteer will:

  • Support the execution of research and surveys on drug policies
  • Support the data analysis production of drug trafficking studies
  • Process mapping and design for information systematization
  • Survey and consolidate specification of requirements for information system
  • Documentation of information systems
  • Perform data structuring and processing
  • Perform data analysis
  • Support CoE’s team activities
  • Assist in handling telephone calls and technical meetings
  • Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor


Bachelor degree or equivalent


  • Bachelor’s degree in System’s Analysis, Computer Science, Information System and similar courses.


12 Months

  • Demonstrated experience in Data Analysis and data modeling;
  • Demonstrated experience in process mapping;
  • Demonstrated experience in system requirements gathering and specification;
  • Demonstrated experience in data structuring;
  • Previous experience as a volunteer and/or experience of another culture, (i.e. studies, volunteer work, internship) would be highly regarded.

  • Portuguese(Mandatory), Level – Fluent
  • English(Mandatory), Level – Fluent
  • Spanish(Optional), Level – Working Knowledge


Database design, administration and maintenance, IT architecture and IT project management, Software and applications development and analysis

Skills and Competencies

  • Computer skills in Statistical packages, Power Bi;
