The overall objective of this Consultancy assignment is to support the GRN through the Ministry of Finance and National Planning Commission (with technical support from UNDP (Lead) and UNICEF, as well as the other PUNOs where it may be required) to develop the Namibia SDG Financing Strategy aimed at strengthening the development financing system in Namibia to help utilize existing financial resources more effectively and efficiently and also to mobilize additional development financing, from domestic and international public and private sources, for achieving the national priorities articulated in the country’s Vision 2030 and its National Development Plans, as well as the HPP II, and ultimately achieve the SDGs by 2030.
Consultancy for Building on the DFA and its Roadmap and considering the adverse impacts of COVID-19 on the economy and the lessons that can be learned from it relative to emerging opportunities that have availed themselves and which can be leveraged to support the development aspirations of Namibia and the realization of the SDGs by 2030, the international consultant with the support of a national consultant.
