The Web Content QA Specialist plays an essential role in maintaining high quality standards of web content and exceptional UX on the ABA website. The role is responsible for conducting quality assurance audits of content published on the ABA website. The role will manage relationships with the web authors to ensure site standards are met and best practices for the web are followed. The successful candidate will have a strong grasp of the AEM platform, familiarity with accessibility standards for the web, and prior SEO experience. The position will be responsible for ensuring content is optimized, participating in drafting strategies and plans, and sharing best practices. This individual will be a self-starter, with an acute attention to detail; maintaining an organized site structure and perpetually focused on areas of improvement.

 


Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

-Work with organization-wide digital platforms, information architecture, and on-going web projects, ensuring content is organized and presented in a manner consistent with website rules, best practices and brand standards.

-Review and edit existing webpages and work with web authors to assist with the layout, page structure, web strategy, and best use of AEM functionality.

-Create and develop best practice SEO strategy recommendation deliverables for the ABA entities to implement based on the website’s current SEO health, opportunity, and performance.

-Assist with distributing and following up on QA reports (broken links, missing metadata, misspellings, SEO and accessibility).

-Assist with various web-related projects including video closed-captioning, retiring dated content, resizing images, fixing misspellings and broken links.

-Consult with QA team on improving operations procedures, makes appropriate recommendations, and sets timetables for improvement and/or corrections.

-Troubleshoot web issues and assists with testing new solutions and making suggestions for improvements

-Perform day-to-day content maintenance activities.

-Assist with web requests.

-Support other functions with the digital content department as needed.

-Performs other related duties as required.

 


Required Education, Qualifications, Experience

-2+ years of experience working in a similar role for a large enterprise.

-Bachelor’s degree in digital communications, marketing, or a related field, or minimum of 3 year’s relevant work experience.

-Strong familiarity with Photoshop.

-Proven experience as SEO Analyst, SEM Consultant or similar roles.

-Familiarity with web accessibility requirements, and experience organizing and tagging content.

-Knowledgeable of best practices for mobile, web-based, and social media content.

 


Preferred Education, Qualifications, Experience

-At least 2 years of experience using Adobe Experience Manager content management system and Digital Asset Manager preferred.
