The European Development Days (EDD) are organised by the European Commission and are Europe’s leading forum on development and international cooperation. The event will take place on the 15 & 16 June on a full digital format. More information on: www.eudevdays.eu. We are now looking for candidates to fulfill the role of Room Digital Officer (RDO).
Essential information:
1. Job description:
The Room Digital Officer is responsible for the smooth running and coordination of the sessions organised during the European Development Days, that will be fully digital this year. In this context, the RDO will oversee one of the dedicated digital rooms, facilitating the reception of speakers and moderators, handling organisational, logistical, and technical details, and coordinating with all fellow cells involved such as digital technicians. The Room Officer will also be responsible for the interactive online mobile application, relaying the sessions’ contents in live. A preparation training will be organised.
This offer is either for a temporary contract or either for freelance.
2. Contract duration:
8 working days, from 7 June until 16 June 2021.
3. Demanded Skills:
- Languages: Minimum bilingual (French and English).
- Good knowledge of European and international affairs and the operation of European and international institutions.
- Digital skills: good knowledge of digital meeting solutions (Zoom, Cisco Webex, Microsoft Teams…)
- Similar experience in the field of digital events and conferences or recognised professional experience (internship level as a minimum), preferably in an international or a European institution.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, pro-active, efficient, attention to details, problem solving attitude and team-player.
- Experience with working in intercultural environments.
4. Assignment location and availability:
From 7 June until 16 June 2021 (8 working days) in Brussels. Travel costs (concerning people not living in Brussels) will not be covered. Local transport costs (in Brussels) will be covered upon presentation of the related receipt.
Personal laptop and smartphone (iPhone / Android) are mandatory.
