Introduction
Mercy Hands for Humanitarian Aid (MH) is a leading Iraqi NGO, founded in 2004 with a goal to save lives and preserve human dignity. Mercy Hands’ headquarters is in Baghdad, which manages all programs in center and south of Iraq, and one mission office in Erbil, which manages all programs in north of Iraq and north east of Syria (NINES). Mercy Hands is currently active in the following humanitarian sectors: livelihood, food security, logistics, WASH, population monitoring and assessments, protection, education, health and community development. Currently, Mercy Hands is implementing 4 livelihood programs, funded by international donors such as UNDP.
Job Location and Duration
Mercy Hands Headquarters in Baghdad, Iraq, with up to 25% field work
1 year, renewable.
Employment Type
Full time, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week.
Salary
Salary is $1500 per month for Iraq residents and $2000 per month for Expats.

Mercy Hands will be responsible for obtaining and renewing the visa and all related expenses
Responsibilities
-
Supervise all Mercy Hands’ livelihood programs and activities;
-
Review Livelihood Program Managers’ (PMs) reports and emails before PMs submit them to donors;

Mentor and build the capacity of livelihood PMs;
-
Either in person or through Livelihood PMs, ensure the active participation of Mercy Hands in all livelihood clusters, sub-clusters, and working groups;

Design and implement the strategic framework for livelihood interventions in Iraq;

Write proposals and review proposals written by livelihood PMs;

Coordinate with the Executive Director, Line Manager, and other directors and head of departments for efficient allocation of resources within the livelihood programs.

Build rapport and network with potential livelihood partners and donors in Iraq;

Lead Mercy Hands’ livelihood research and assessments.
Qualifications

Previous experience in livelihood programs;

Project management experience;

Proposal writing and budget design skills;

Excellent reporting skills;

Excellent English language skills;

College degree;
-
Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook);

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
