The Role
We are looking for a Driver to work as part of the logistics team and their main purpose is to ensure the safe conveyance of staff and supplies/materials/equipment to authorized destinations. They are responsible for proper vehicle use, cleanliness/hygiene, roadworthiness and advise the line managers if there are concerns/issues that should be reviewed or fixed in the vehicles. Security and safety in the vehicles are very important and therefore, any information needed/available in this regard should be provided to passengers and line managers.
What we are looking for
The Driver position will require to be an exceptional, dedicated, and highly motivated professional, with a strong commitment to Oxfam’s values and beliefs with the following qualification and competencies:
- Secondary school education or equivalent (at least).
- Experience of 5 years as a driver in an international organisation and experience in driving four-wheel-drive vehicles.
- Good maneuvering skill of 4WD vehicles.
- Have a valid driving license Grade 3 and above.
- Auto mechanics training and ability to conduct minor repairs.
- Proven experience of driving in terrain conditions and mountainous areas.
- Matured, hardworking, enthusiastic, and helpful to people.
- Share Oxfam’s development values, especially, gender sensitivity and respect for all.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Ability to adjust to changing situations while maintaining focus on delivery and follow-through
Desirable
- Knowledge of Oxfam systems in logistics.
