Summary:
LHR is looking for an experienced Field Coordinator who is able to lead and oversee the organisation’s operations in Ritsona Camp.
The Field Coordinator oversees staff recruitment and development, staff mentoring and supervision. They are responsible for LHR’s fleet and asset management, finances, and camp coordination, in addition to acting as LHR’s focal point on site for Greek authorities and other actors, as well as being LHR’s focal point for preparedness.
The Field Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the smooth running of LHR’s Psychosocial Support (PSS) programmes in Ritsona, namely: our Child Friendly Space (CFS), our Youth Engagement Space (YES), our Resident Volunteer Program (RVP) and our Sports Program (SP).
Key responsibilities

Responsible for overseeing programmes in Ritsona, providing content-related guidance, administrative and field support to deliver high quality programming;

Coordinate daily work of different programmes, teams and ensure cross-programmatic communication and synergies;

Responsible for organizing and facilitating weekly team meetings, follow-up, supervision, guidance and mentoring of Programme Managers;

Responsible for recruitment of Ritsona staff members, ensuring ToRs and interview procedures are up to date and compliant with LHR standards, in cooperation with Programme Managers, Country Coordinator and Country Officer;

Responsible for regular performance evaluation and appraisal of direct reports;

Represent LHR in Ritsona LTAC toward Greek Authorities, camp management and all other relevant actors;

Focal point for preparedness, safety and security of LHR staff and assets in Ritsona;

Responsible for keeping a financial overview at the location, ensure budget lines and accounting procedures are followed and contribute to internal and external reporting to donors;

Support programme teams in developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation tools in line with programme objectives;

Contribute to project development (including budgeting), in coordination with Head of Communications and Country Coordinator.
Safety and security
-
Ensure adherence to Code of Conduct, security plans, SOPs and health protocols from all staff members;
-
Ensure that LHR’s safety and security guidelines and protocols are up to date and upheld in daily implementation of all our programmes.
Fleet and asset management

Responsible for securing, documenting and maintaining a list of LHR assets at the location;

Ensure that LHR rented vehicles and premises are well maintained, routinely serviced and rent is paid on time.
Finances

Report budget needs, develop budget plans and budget forecasts in coordination with Country Coordinator;

Budget holder at the location; responsible for reimbursements, cashbox, approving of payment requests (according to budget authority) and ensuring payments are made in a timely manner, with the support of the Country Officer.
Representation
-
Represent LHR during Coordination and Protection meetings;

Ensure timely communication with relevant actors and authorities with regards to Child Protection and general incident reporting;

Focal point for external actors/visitors in cooperation with Programme Managers, Head of Communications and Country Coordinator;
-
Ensure smooth and positive coordination and cooperation with relevant actors for activities and events.
Qualifications
Required
-
Degree in International Relations, Development studies, Social Sciences, Project Management or Administration;
-
Excellent people management skills;
-
Excellent project management, financial and budgetary control, leadership and communication skills;
-
Experience working with refugees and/or asylum seekers in Greece;
-
At least 3 years work experience in a similar position with an NGO;
-
Excellent level of English, both written and spoken;
-
Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
-
Ability to adapt to a multicultural context and work cross-linguistically;
-
Excellent working knowledge of GSuite, MS Word and Excel or similar

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
-
Valid work permit in the EU.
Desired
-
Knowledge of Greek, Farsi, Arabic or French are a distinct advantage;

Prior work experience with an NGO in Greece, in a camp setting;
-
Experience in leading field operations with humanitarian organizations including start-up and exit procedures;

Manual driving licence;
-
Candidates who are already in Greece will be prioritized.
Terms
-
Greek National Contract, fixed-term with 40 hours per week work schedule ;

Shared transportation to/from camp provided.
