Cufa is an international development agency with a focus on promoting financial inclusion and increasing financial literacy and improving economic livelihoods. Cufa has been developing community access to affordable financial services in the Asia Pacific region for nearly 50 years, working cooperatively at grass-roots through to government levels, building capacity in emerging financial cooperative movements to create sustainability, improve lives, and relieve poverty.
Cufa is seeking an International/Non-Cambodian National to engage as the in-country Financial Education Technical Advisor & Project Manager to take ownership and lead the implementation of an in-classroom pilot including monitoring and evaluation focusing on financial education.
The assignment will require at least one-month travel to schools located in provinces outside of Phnom Penh including but not limited to Kampong Cham, Kampong Thom and Siem Reap.
Assigned Tasks
This role is required on a significant project to integrate financial education into the Cambodian school curriculum.
The following selection criteria/assigned tasks must be demonstrated through robust work experience:

Lead the implementation of an in-classroom pilot program including monitoring and evaluation focusing on financial education topics over a three-month period.

Highly familiar with various pedagogical approaches including experience in capacity building, assessing and observing/testing various pedagogical activities. The in-class pilot program specifically focuses on observing/testing teachers on various pedagogical activities adopted to implement the relevant financial literacy teaching units.

Experience or background in education and financial literacy/financial education.

Substantial experience in leading the implementation of a pilot program within the education sector as part of international development projects.

Experience leading the implementation of monitoring activities of an in-classroom pilot program across multiple schools and rural and urban locations.

Lead the identification, development and delegation of the pilot program activities including but not limited to writing reports, analyzing monitoring data, and refining monitoring and evaluation instruments including data capture tools for monitoring and evaluation activities.

Experience working on projects within Asia, especially South East Asia.

Must demonstrate experience working on international development projects funded by multilateral agencies.
Selection Criteria

Tertiary qualifications in Education, Monitoring and Evaluation, Masters level highly desirable

Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary and international project team across multiple locations

Fluent in English

Excellent communication skills

Proven project management experience with strong analytical skills

Ability to work under pressure, both independently as well as part of a team

Understands and finds workable options to address the challenges of working on capacity building projects.
