Summary of position:
Under the general supervision of the Foreign Policy and Diplomacy Service (FPDS) Counsellor with primary responsibilities for the following:

Provide administrative support to the FPDS section, including:
1. Database, Calendar and information management.
2. Budget tracking, data input, and reporting..

Support advocacy and public affairs, such as:
3. Event/travel planning and logistics.
4. Preparation/scheduling of meetings/events.
5. Management of social media outlets (e.g. Facebook and Twitter) and public inquiries (phone, email and social media), including the preparation of posts and responses, English-Czech translation, as well as the tracking of usage statistics.

Support access to decision-makers/key contacts:
6. Communicating, liaising and corresponding with key contacts clearly.
7. Research and compilation of background material on selected political and economic issues and light drafting/reporting.

 

Essential qualifications:
Essential Qualifications
Candidates will initially be screened against the Essential Qualifications relating to education, experience and language. Candidates must clearly demonstrate in their cover letter and CV how they meet each of these essential qualifications.

Education:
• Completed secondary education (Maturita) or higher.

Language:

• Fluency in English C1 (oral & written)
• Fluency in Czech C2 (oral & written)

Experience:

Two years’ experience working in office administration.

Rated Requirements
The Rated Requirements relating to knowledge, abilities and competencies will also be assessed. Methods of assessment may include, but are not limited to, a written examination, an oral interview, role-play, practical tests, presentations and/or psychometric assessment.

Knowledge
• Good knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Knowledge of general office procedures and practices;

Asset Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates who have the following asset qualifications: Where applicable, candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet any asset qualifications in their cover letter and CV.
• French B1 (good: oral, written, comprehension)
• Experience managing social media accounts for an organization or business.
• Experience working for an international organization
• Experience working with diverse communities or for a civil society organization focusing on diverse/minority communities.
• University degree

Condition(s) of Employment:
• Candidates must have a valid work authorization covering the entire employment period. If the employment is indeterminate, the work authorization should be permanent.
