Description of Organization: DDI/Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment Hub (GenDev) is a central USAID hub of technical leadership and expertise on gender equality and women’s empowerment. GenDev provides guidance and support to integrate gender equality and women’s empowerment systematically across USAID initiatives, programs, performance monitoring, and evaluation. GenDev focuses on reducing gender disparities and gender-based violence, as well as increasing the capacity of women and girls to realize their rights, determine their life outcomes, and influence decision-making.
The Economic Growth (EG) and Gender Advisor is responsible for providing technical leadership on gender integration into economic growth programming across the Agency. The incumbent will provide technical assistance to Missions and other Operating Units to elevate women’s economic empowerment and gender equality; integrate women’s economic empowerment and gender equality outcomes in portfolios, projects, and activities; and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
