Looking to volunteer with refugees abroad?
Lifting Hands International is looking for volunteers to join our team in Serres, Northern Greece! We operate a community center for refugees in Serres, a small city about an hour away from Thessaloniki. We work with a population of 1000+ refugees at the local camps, providing regular aid distributions and a range of psychosocial support programs. Our community center includes an Education Centre, a Children Friendly Space, a Female Friendly Space, an Arts&Recreation Space, and a Distribution Programme.
We are looking for volunteers to start as soon as possible that are able to:

teach German at basic levels;

help with our other activities, such as warehouse work, gardening, children’s activities, and so on.

commit to at least one month;

work 30-35 hours per week.
Additional information:

we offer housing at our volunteer’s apartment in the centre of Serres for 5 euros per night;

the minimum age for applying is 19 years old;

we cannot provide assistance with visa applications or cover any related expenses.
