Job Description
Saint Paul College-A Community & Technical College is accepting resumes for a one-year full-time (1.0 FTE) History Instructor. The instructor is responsible for all activities related to teaching and learning including, but not limited to, instructional planning & curriculum development, student evaluation and records, classroom/climate preparation and management, interpersonal relations, participation in professional development experiences, working as an effective team member of the department, maintenance of professional skills and credentials, and participation on college committees.
Begin date: August 23, 2021
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree with a major in History or master’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits in History
- Two years of community college teaching experience
- Demonstrated use of a multi-cultural, gender- and disability-fair curriculum
- Previous teaching experience in an urban two-year college
- Experience with web-enhanced and online teaching using D2L or a comparable platform
- Experience using assessment of student learning data to inform changes to classroom and department curricula
