As of 1 May 2021 (or sooner) MSF-OCA is looking for a HR Advisor Ops.Desk.

**
Main objectives of the position**

  • Collaborates with Operations Desk & HRCO in designing the Mission’s HR objectives planned in Autumn and Spring Control Planning cycles (ACP/SCP), to support the mission’s operational objectives.
  • Provides HR strategic and tactical support to the mission. Supervise the implementation of HR related policies and tools in the Mission portfolio of the Operations Support Team (OST), ensuring they are in line with OCAs HR and International framework and operational and context needs.
  • As a pro-active member of the OST, act as a liaison between Operations and HR Department in HQ, ensuring quality HR advice and an efficient flow of information between the two departments and disseminating HR state of affairs within the Mission portfolio.

Candidate Profile**

  • MSF mission experience, with a track record of delivering results at senior management level, is strongly preferred, or similar experience in another humanitarian NGO is also well regarded.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in HR at a senior level.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices together with working knowledge of HR systems.
  • You are dynamic and used to working in a fast paced and demanding environment.
  • You are committed to an inclusive culture that encourages and supports the diverse voices of our employees.
  • You are people oriented; results driven with excellent communication skills
  • You are a team player and able to motivate and inspire people to work towards a common purpose.
  • You have an open and active mind set, with cooperation, coordination and performance management skills, whilst also being able to work independently. Furthermore, you are strong on planning and project management capabilities.
  • You have the ability to travel to the field approximately 20-40%.
  • Excellent command of the English language is mandatory. French, Arabic or Spanish language skills are preferable.

We Offer**

  • Remote working is possible, within Dutch time zone and occasional travel to HQ in Amsterdam or Berlin.
  • A contract for one year with renewal option, based on a full-time appointment for 40 hours per week (100% labour percentage).
  • A gross monthly salary in scale 7 between €3,360 and € 4,798 depending on professional experience, based on a fulltime appointment (40 hours per week);
  • Other benefits include 30 holidays per annum (based on a fulltime appointment) and a premium-free pension plan.
