HR Officer

The Opportunity

Provides Human Resource support to the HR Manager/ Coordinator in the Syria Response Office on all HR matters. Performs a variety tasks to support staff and coordinates trainings as appropriate.
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Reports to: HR Manager/ Coordinator
Dimensions: Supports the successful running of the Syria Response office’s HR function.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
* Ability and willingness to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams, in the event of crisis or emergency.
* Support National recruitment process (sourcing, interviewing and on-boarding) and to participate in the interview process for up to officers’ levels positions.
* Support for international recruitments (sourcing, arranging interviews, reference check, vetting process and regret letters)
* Responsible for the termination process and the exit clearance for the staff (national, international), and liaise with finance for final payment, making sure the clearance is done properly and timely.
* Responsible for volunteer agreements and hiring process.
* Responsible for HR consultancy hiring process and processing all related payments
* Focal point for Oracle HR system and responsible of having all staff records up to date and to follow up on any system technical issues.
* Focal point for Effort reporting system and follow up on any system technical issue.
* Support the tracking of mandatory trainings completion.
* Responsible for tracking staff probationary periods and to follow up with line manager to ensure the process is done.
* Update Main Office organogram on a regular biases.
* Support the implementation of passport to success tool.
* Coordinate with Area office to provide approved documents on timely meaner
* Make sure that all staff contracts/ contracts extensions are signed and send back to HR department in a timely manner
* Assist in preparing proper documentation for recruitment in HR department main office
* Maintain proper filing systems, correspondence and other material related to Human Resources files.
* Support HR Manager/Coordinator in carrying out various human resources programs (training, orientation, surveys, etc) and procedures for all employees.
* Assists in organizational training and development efforts (collecting offers, booking seats for staff, getting agendas for training, preparing training space).
* Assists in responding to employees’ requests and questions after coordinating and getting the concurrence of HR Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:

* Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resources field.
* BA degree in HR, Business Administration or related field.
* Demonstrated experience in the HR or administrative field
* Knowledge of principles and practices of human resources.
* Verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to plan and organize and work in a systematic and organized manner.
* Detailed oriented
* Customer service oriented.
* Ability to priorities competing demands.
* Diplomacy tact and negotiating skills.
* Strong team player with high team spirit and positive attitude.
* Flexibility under pressure and in response to changing needs.
* Productive and responsive to instructions and project policies and regulations.
* Initiative, stress tolerance and reliable.
* Computer knowledge especially MS office, spreadsheet, PowerPoint, outlook and lotus notes
* Bilingual English and Arabic Language.

Desirable:
* Familiarity with Jordanian Labour law.
* 3-5 years of experience in NGOs.
