6 months maternity leave cover
Oxfam is a world-wide development organization that mobilizes the power of people against poverty. To be as impactful as possible in defeating poverty, Oxfam Novib continuously measures, analyzes and reflects on the effectiveness of its programs and projects. By learning what does and does not work, giving voice to the local communities and policy makers involved and bringing in outside expertise we are able to identify the most transformational approaches and to innovate. Capturing and sharing this knowledge widely, feeding it back to local partners and communities enables others to build on these experiences, both inside and outside the Oxfam confederation. At the same time, we strengthen our accountability to a wide range of stakeholders.
The Program Support and Impact (PSI) unit enhances program quality, assesses impact of program/projects, supports the methodological capacity building of staff and partners and secures alignment between Oxfam Novib program goals, country programs and Oxfam’s strategic goals to achieve Oxfam’s mission.
The Impact Measurement & Knowledge (IMK) team is part of Program Support and Impact unit. The IMK team charts social change and measures the intended and unintended effects of Oxfam’s programs and campaigns, with a focus on accountability and learning. Through this applied research, we facilitate tailored learning processes in order to advance quality and expertise (thought leadership). The team is composed of research specialists working on quantitative and qualitative impact measurement, research and sense making. All specialists have a mix of tasks in these three areas, but with a different focus. The team is looking to hire an impact measurement specialist, with a strong focus on qualitative research, to cover a maternity leave.
