Scope of Work:

UNICEF Supply Division Director’s Office is seeking a dynamic and skilled social media and multimedia professional who will contribute to amplifying key messages, achievements, and strategic content across multiple media channels.

Purpose of Activity/Assignment:
The assignment is centred on the maintenance and production of strategic and creative content for the UNICEF Supply Division Director’s social media channels. The Director’s social media channels serve to communicate time-sensitive and accurate information and updates to diverse audiences, including suppliers and partners, and requires regular production of engaging multimedia content.

Work Assignment Overview
Tasks/Milestones

  • Supporting the development of social media editorial and production plans for the Director’s external platforms based on divisional priorities
  • Supporting the development of multimedia production plans for the Director’s Office internal channels
  • Designing tailored briefing materials for high-level visits of donors and other special interest groups
  • Supporting on various activities such as organizing project site visits, and facilitating photo and video coverage
  • Creating graphics following UNICEF’s brand guidelines for use on social media channels and in presentations
  • Shooting and editing quality multimedia (both photo and video) products
  • Sourcing photos and videos from the UNICEF multimedia database, WeShare, and adapting them for social media content
  • Regularly posting approved content on social media channels with appropriate tagging
  • Monitoring social media for relevant mentions and posts for amplification
  • Maintaining a database to track and analyse social media performance

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • A first level university degree in the field of multimedia work.
  • Minimum one year of experience in multimedia work
    Demonstrated experience of working with social media management
  • Experience of working at a United Nations organization is an asset
  • Strong grasp of social media tools
  • Excellent organizational and coordination capacity is required
  • Proficiency in video and photo shooting and editing, using Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Fluent in English (required). Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is an asset

EVALUATION PROCESS:

Qualified candidates are requested to submit:

  1. Cover letter/application
  2. Financial quote including a daily rate in US Dollars and relocation expenses
  3. At least 3 reference contact information from previous supervisors
  4. P 11 form (which can be downloaded from UNICEF website)

Applications must be submitted through the UNICEF electronic application system by 13 December 2021. Applications submitted without a daily rate will not be considered.

Applicants are encouraged to submit at least 1 example of prior analysis work. This will be considered confidential.

UNICEF considers best value for money as a criteria for evaluating potential candidates. As a general principle, the fees payable to a consultant follow the “best value for money” principle, i.e. achieving the desired outcome at the lowest possible fee. Please note that consultants are responsible for assuming costs for obtaining visas, travel insurance and taxes.

Successful applicants will be evaluated by the following criteria:

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATION (max. 75 points)
Overall Response (25 points)
Understanding of tasks, objectives and completeness and coherence of response
Overall match between the TOR requirements and proposal
Technical Capacity (50 points)
Relevance of consultant’s experience with similar projects and as per required qualifications
References

Relocation expenses
Total estimated cost of contract (proposed contract fee only)

Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
