How can you make a difference?
Under the general guidance of the supervisor and close coordination with the government and development partners, the incumbent is responsible for providing technical support to the coordination, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of shock-responsive social protection as government response to COVID 19 at national level, support interventions that response to shocks related to climate and security events and other emergency situations generates displacement in the population.
Summary of key functions/accountabilities:
- Support the government officials (Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Action – MGCAS, National Institute of Social Action- INAS) in the coordination of Shock Responsive Social Protection at national and subnational level, on national COVID 19 response strategy, on response to displacement on security events in Cabo Delgado and any other action in SRSP to response to shocks.
- Support the government officials (Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Action – MGCAS, National Institute of Social Action- INAS) on implementation of SRSP on Zambezia and Tete as part of response to COVID 19 pandemic.
- Support SRSP interventions in Cabo Delgado on IDPs displaced as a consequence of security events in Cabo Delgado.
- Support SRSP to persons with disabilities
- Support preparation of timely request and reporting by MGCAS/INAS
- Support preparation of monthly monitoring report on PASD-PE
- Any other tasks related to social protection implementation of SRSP
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
Education: A university degree in one of the following fields is required: Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Science, or another relevant technical field.
Experience: A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience is required. Experience working in social security and protection in Mozambique is considered as a strong asset.
Language Requirements: Fluency in Portuguese and English is required.
