Under the supervision of the Innovation Manager (Health), Product Innovation Centre and in close collaboration with the Technical Specialist, Health Technology Centre, the consultant will: Manage two New-born Health Product Innovation Projects (Bilirubinometer and Radiant Warmer – Target Product Profiles for these products are here):
Establishment and project management of the two Product Innovation Projects (PIPs)
Support the New-born health platform PIP and other health PIPs

How can you make a difference?
Scope of Work/Key deliverables: Take two product innovation projects through the innovation process and support platform PIP activities. Ensure appropriate planning of two new New-born Health Product Innovation Projects and support of the New-born Health platform PIP. The consultant will deliver the following for each of the two new projects (using existing documentation where available in consultation with Technical Specialist, Health Technology Centre): Project specific documentation per UNICEF Product Innovation Centre standard framework
Milestone documentation
Travel international (if applicable):(WCARO, ESARO and ROSA)

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
Education:
-
An advanced university degree in Health/medical related discipline, Innovation, or another discipline.A First university degree combined with additional two years of relevant work experience in new product development, innovation or project management or additional courses in relevant subjects will be considered in lieu of a master’s degree if the candidate can demonstrate high level of experience with related projects.
Professional Experience:
Minimum five years of relevant professional work experience in innovation or Medical field; at least two of which in running projects with a many stakeholders.
Language Skills:
- Fluency in English is required. Fluency in French is an advantage.
Qualified candidates are requested to submit:
- Cover letter/application.
- Financial quote at a daily rate in US Dollars including all taxes.
- P11 form if not applying through UNICEF Employment site
- At least 3 Reference contacts of current and previous supervisors
- Copy of a highest completed academic degree
Applications that meet minimum requirements will be assessed by the following breakdown:
70% Technical Qualifications as outlined in TOR
30% Financial Proposal
(Day rate, weighted against others, maximum 30 points)
