Scope of Work:
UNICEF is co-responsible for the communications commission and responsible for all communication for development, which includes digital engagement with young people. As the messages and preferred platform for interaction are dynamic and changing during and beyond the pandemic, we need a Specialist in Digital Engagement to build the capacity of all digitally focused UNICEF supported programs, ensuring proper visibility for the activities of UNICEF as well as improving engagement with young people.
Upon taking office, the Specialist will:
-Develop a work plan and training schedule, incorporating identified gaps, key deliverables and activities to achieve results.
-Support UNICEF and partners in the elaboration of digital campaigns and events: Mass and digital campaigns.
-Build graphic design and effective branding capacity of UNICEF staff, suppliers and partners.
-Proactively create and train on editorial content production (articles, stories, photos, advocacy images, youth contests, campaigns, audio, video, infographics, etc.) adaptable for media and partnership pitches.
-Build capacity of all digitally focused UNICEF youth supported programs including young bloggers, young reporters, etc
-Lead and build capacity for U-Report digital community management.
-Support Field offices in designing innovating community-based approaches.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
- A Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields is required: communication, marketing, multimedia, or any other related fields.
- Have at least 3 years of experience in digital community management, graphic design and web capacity building.
- Have the computer hardware (laptop) and software mentioned above or other appropriate technical software.
- Be able to master the use of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, 3D Studio Max, or other appropriate technical software on computer-aided CAD/CAD design.
- To be able to work in an international and multicultural environment.
- Experience working for an international organization an asset.
- Be able to work independently and in a team.
- Have good communication skills.
- Fluency in both written and spoken French is required.
