HISTORIC PRESERVATION CREW — BANDELIER NATIONAL MONUMENT
Join a conservation and historic preservation crew working on Pueblo-era ruins and historic structures in Bandelier National Monument. This crew supports cultural preservation through hands-on fieldwork using both traditional and modern techniques.
- Historic structure stabilization and preservation
- Archaeological site support and monument maintenance
- Grounds beautification and resource protection
- Learning Park Service preservation methods and cultural history
SEASON DETAILS:
June 1 – July 31, 2026
Monday–Friday | 8:00am–4:30pm
Weekends + federal holidays off
PAY + BENEFITS:
- Crew Supervisor: $18.00/hour (before taxes), paid biweekly — overtime eligible
- Assistant Crew Leader (ACL): $690/week stipend (before taxes) $1,565 AmeriCorps Education Award upon completion
- Crew Members: $650/week stipend (before taxes) $1,565 AmeriCorps Education Award after completion
YOU SHOULD BE:
- Able to work outdoors in all weather
- Comfortable doing physical labor (hiking, lifting up to 50 lbs, using tools
- Team player with a strong work ethic
- Willing to learn and grow
- New Mexico resident
