Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager at the Performance Fibers Division you are responsible for, among other things:
- Researching market segments and identifying potential customers for the company’s new materials;
- Conducting customer visits to introduce products and explore development opportunities;
- Analyzing market intelligence to provide strategic recommendations for expanding market share;
- Building and maintaining trusted relationships with business partners, customers, government authorities, and academia to gain market insights and strengthen Kaneka’s presence;
- Leading and supporting cross-functional teams on multiple marketing and technical projects, including brand promotion, supply chain management, product development, and business development;
- This involves planning appropriate strategies, setting objectives, and establishing milestones.
What do we expect from you?
- Hold a Master’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in business development and/or marketing at a manufacturer, preferably within the fibers and/or textiles industry.
- Comfortable with frequent business travel (approximately 40% of the time);
- Willingness to be stationed at Kaneka Brussels (Zaventem) or Kaneka Westerlo (Oevel). The possibility of home office in Central Europe is also negotiable;
- Strong communication skills in English; other languages are a plus;
- Strategic planning skills related to innovation, trustworthy and professional, with a strong sense of responsibility, excellent organizational skills, confidentiality, and resilience under pressure;
- Possess – or have the ability to develop – a broad strategic view of the technical fiber business in Europe.
