Your new role

The Acacia Ridge Early Years Centre & Kindergarten is committed to working collaboratively, valuing relationships built on trust, unity, honesty and support for one another.

Acacia Ridge Early Years Centre and Kindergarten (Long Day Care Service) is a 80 place service collocated alongside Early Years Centre community hub, offering child health services, allied health, supported playgroups, parenting programs, targeted family support whilst focusing on early intervention and prevention to ultimately empower children and families. As a service we believe in providing high quality care and education as an integrated service alongside our hub and Acacia Ridge State School which is located next door.

As the Director Acacia Ridge Early Years Centre and Kindergarten, you will be supported and work alongside a full-time non-contact Educational Leader and part time Service Support Coordinator. You will have plenty of opportunity to work autonomously while ensuring that our services are effective, responsive, culturally appropriate and maximises great outcomes for children and their families.

You will have the opportunity to lead a team of committed educators and provide high-quality care and education to children. You will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day operations of the Centre and ensuring that our programs are delivered in line with legislative requirements, company policies, and procedures. You will also have the chance to build strong relationships with families, the local business, community, and other stakeholders.

With your experience in leading fully integrated teams, you will be leading a professional team, providing clear leadership, professional supervision, practice support and learning opportunities in collaboration with the Area Management Team. Your work will also include building and maintaining effective local relationships and collaborating with community partners and other stakeholders to facilitate referrals and improve outcomes for each child and family.

This leadership role is based in the Acacia Ridge Early Years Centre and Kindergarten (Long Day Care Service). You will work closely and collaborate with our strong Area Management Team that manages our Browns Plains, Beaudesert and Acacia Ridge Early Years Centres and Sessional Kindergartens sites.

What you need to succeed?

You will have experience leading a team in the Early Childhood Education sector and:

  • Solid experience (4 years+) working in kindergarten or LDC settings.
  • Proven track record in effectively managing Kindy/LDC operations including financials, facilities, safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborative skills with the ability to work in a cross functional way with teams, peers & stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
  • Strong team leadership abilities with experience leading, inspiring and developing a team of professional educators.
  • A relevant qualification in Early Childhood or Education,(degree highly desirable) and current driver’s licence.
  • Strong understanding of Education and Cares Service National Regulation/Legislation, plus Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines and National Quality Standards (NQS) essential.
