Introduction
SCOPE OF TENDER
- Construction company (in charge of the execution of the construction
- Independent project manager (construction supervisor and quality controller
- Siyaphambili Makhungutja Multipurpose Cooperative Society (Construction supervisor and owner of the studio
- Construction will be completed under close collaboration and supervision between Construction company, Siyaphambili Makhungutja Multipurpose Cooperative Society, Independent construction manager and the UNDP procurement team
- Workshop area: Well-ventilated and adequately illuminated space with windows for setting up the screen-printing equipment. The space should allow for easy movement and organization of materials.
- Storage area: Dry space and free of pests with proper closure with lock to keep the raw materials, finished products and supplies.
- Dark room: The darkroom should be light-tight and provide space for coating screens with emulsion and storing sensitized screens. It should have ventilation system for fume extraction.
- Washing area: The washing space should comfortably fit the washout booth and provide space for storing cleaning chemicals and supplies. Ensure proper ventilation and drainage in this area.
- Office area: Space for administrative tasks, customer interactions and design work.
- Waste Management Yard: Disposal systems for waste materials and chemicals, in compliance with the local regulations.
- Toilette and washroom facilities
- The establishment of Contractor’s camps and plants on site
- Setting out of work including level control.
- Conduct necessary inspections and provide reports for this stage.
- Clearing and grubbing of the areas on which construction is to take place;
- Ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide progress reports upon completion of this stage.
- Construction of the buildings
- Conduct landscaping around the studio as per the design.
- The relocation of and protection of existing services.
- Complete interior and exterior finishes, including painting, flooring, and fixtures.
- External Works
- Prepare the building for handover, ensuring all systems are functional.
- Maintenance of the works for a period of three (3) months
