Introduction

Preamble Summary (Concise):

This project is a measured unit price contract for the Construction of an Emergency Cell at Abu Jarad Sanitary Landfill Site. The Contractor shall execute all works in full compliance with the Contract Conditions, Technical Specifications, Drawings, and the Engineer’s instructions. The Bill of Quantities forms an integral part of the Tender Documents and shall be read in conjunction with all specifications and drawings. The Contractor is deemed to have visited the site, understood all local climatic, geological, security, and logistical constraints of the Gaza Strip, and included all related costs in the BOQ. UNDP shall supply crushed materials and fuel, while the Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supervision, vehicle, temporary site office, power generator, and all necessary measures to ensure quality, safety, and structural stability. The Contractor shall also include a fixed amount of USD 34,265 for soil testing to be paid to the Consulting Center for Quality and Calibration Laboratory. No additional payments shall be made for items deemed included unless otherwise stated.

Scope of Work:

  • General requirements and site preparation

  • Leveling, excavation, and earthworks

  • Installation of lining system and leachate collection pipes

  • Construction of perimeter roads

  • Temporary facilities, supervision support, safety measures, and quality control

  • Compliance with all Palestinian regulations and UNDP requirements

Project Duration:

  • Total construction duration: 3 weeks (21 calendar days)
