Introduction


SCOPE OF TENDER

  1. Private sector engagement.
    • Bilateral engagement of private sector and other potential host organizations that leads to requisitions on the EYEP online portal
    • Onboarding of host organization into the EYEP portal
    • Continuous engagement with host organizations on matters pertaining to placement of graduates (overall Performance measurement, ensuring mechanism for prevention of sexual exploitation and harassment and general graduate welfare, withdrawal and replacement of graduates, and other human resource management functions)
  2. Support the matching and placement of graduates against the requirements of host organizations and this inter-alia includes;
    • Verification of requisitions from host organisation
    • Verification of the capacity of host organisation to host matched graduates
    • Verification of availability and readiness of interns before deployment
    • Verification and submission of timesheet and delivery of stipend payroll on a monthly basis
  3. Implementation of EYEP Induction – the service provider will be required to review and facilitate the delivery of a three-day induction workshop for enrolled youth. The service provider is expected to review the current induction manual based on the experiences of the pilot phase and ensure that the induction manual is structured in accordance with the needs of each group as per the different components of the EYEP (graduate placement and artisanal skills training). The induction programme must be interactive, fun while being thought-provoking and inspiring.
    • Inspire and encourage the youth to have positive life outlook despite many socioeconomic challenges that young people face
    • Prepare new inductees to settle into their new position quickly and become productive and efficient members of staff for the duration of internship programme
    • Enable new inductees to understand the corporate culture and the overall framework under which they are engaged
    • Prepare the selected youth for the work life, teach them basic office or work environment etiquettes such as how to dress, communicate, keeping time, collaborating with team members etc.
    • Instill a sense of patriotism despite the many socioeconomic challenges the country faces
    • Encourage civic participation of youth in nation building engagements and how to better manage, prevent and resolve conflicts
    • Equip young people with skills on how to cope with stress, mental health, peer pressure, crisis at individual and community level, as well as how to guard against and prevent sexual harassment and exploitation
    • Introduce the inductees to the basic rudiments of entrepreneurship as a viable alternative to formal which collar employment.
    • Introduce the inductees to personal financial management principles
    • Instill a sense of self-worth that is not defined by economic or social circumstances as part of building a resilient mindset for the youth
    • Teach inductees with the principles of positive deviance
  4. Capacity Building, Mentorship and Monitoring of EYEP participants during internship
    • Deliver targeted coaching and mentorship to EYEP interns to enhance employability skills, workplace readiness, and professional growth.
    • Conduct regular site visits to host organizations to provide ongoing support, assess intern integration, and offer constructive feedback to both interns and supervisors.
    • Proactively address issues raised during internship placements and ensure timely resolution of conflicts or challenges affecting intern performance or host organization satisfaction.
  5. Monitoring and Evaluation
    • Document all graduate placement processes and conduct thorough program data analysis to inform future selection and placement strategies.
    • Maintain a comprehensive database of enrolled youth, design mechanisms for ongoing monitoring of their progress and performance in collaboration with host organizations.
    • Carry out routine program data analysis to support continuous improvement and evidence-based program design.
    • Track programme performance and participant transitions, including employment outcomes after completion of the internship.
    • Administer pre- and post-internship surveys for both EYEP interns and host organizations to evaluate programme effectiveness and experience
  6. Consolidated reporting capturing the full scope of work delivered, including:
    • Detailed documentation and analysis of all programme activities, processes, data analysis and outputs.
    • Human-impact stories and case studies highlighting beneficiary experiences, outcomes, and the real-world value created through the intervention.
    • Key learnings and insights drawn from implementation, stakeholder engagement, and monitoring and evaluation findings.
    • Actionable recommendations to strengthen programme design, delivery, sustainability, and scalability for future iterations.
