Your team
Your role
- lead the work to define the product features for the online digital euro;
- refine the proposed use cases by leading the work on the specification of the functional and non-functional requirements;
- liaise with a variety of stakeholders, including Eurosystem national central banks, governance groups, market participants and standard-setting organisations;
- manage the day-to-day tasks of team members, ensuring deliverables are achieved and milestones are met;
- coordinate with other team leads to ensure cross-functional support is provided across the Division and the Directorate.
Qualifications, experience and skills
- a master’s degree or equivalent in business administration, economics, finance, project management, law, political science, a STEM subject (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), computer science or another relevant field (see How you can join us for details on degree equivalences);
- in addition to the above, a minimum of six years’ professional experience (excluding internships/traineeships) in retail payments and/or in the design of a large-scale, consumer-facing payment or financial product, either in a product role or as a consultant;
- expert knowledge of the payments system landscape;
- experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders to address their needs, while ensuring project deliverables are achieved;
- experience managing teams and/or coordinating people, projects or transversal activities;
- proven analytical skills and experience drafting concise and clear notes and reports;
- an advanced (C1) command of English and an intermediate (B1) command of at least one other official language of the EU, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
- experience working on standards for front-end payment solutions;
- experience deploying a payment solution at a physical point of sale;
- technical understanding of aspects related to payment instruments, e.g. QR code design, tokenisation, authentication mechanisms and/or near-field communication (NFC) functionalities;
- understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to payments products.
