Main purpose of job: The Post Security Manager (PSM) is responsible for the delivery of effective security management across the British Embassy Seoul, ensuring the protection of personnel, information, assets and operations in accordance with His Majesty’s Government (HMG) security policies and standards. The PSM leads the Embassy’s physical security programme, security operations, guard force management and security governance arrangements. Working closely with the Post Security Team, Corporate Services Team, Regional Security Adviser (RSA) and host nation authorities, the PSM develops and maintains a strong security culture, manages security risks, and delivers security support to diplomatic activities, high-profile visits and crisis response operations.

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in security management, security operations, workplace security, or a similar operational role.
- Good understanding of incident reporting, risk assessment, and the practical Application of security procedures.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage effectively with contractors and external authorities.
- Ability to communicate and work professionally in both English and Korean.
- Sound judgement, discretion, and the ability to remain calm, organised, and effective under pressure.
