Who We Are:
The British Embassy in Copenhagen is part of a world-wide network, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas and is looking for a Senior Investment Advisor.
Your role will be to work with Danish Investors into the UK focussing on Tech (specifically AI and Quantum) as well as existing large investors within Logistics, Life Sciences and Sustainable Consumption. You will be responsible for developing strategic relationships that increase investment into the UK and develop and maintain a network within relevant industry sectors in the Danish market to be able to support and facilitate FDI from DK to the UK.
What will you be expected to achieve?
- To support DK companies wishing to invest in the UK within Tech (AI & Quantum).
- To deliver against DBT Denmark’s FDI targets and advance UK as a centre for AI and Quantum innovation and to support existing large DK investors into the UK
- To build strategic relationships with organisations, private / public, that increase FDI into the UK by identifying investment opportunities and future economic partnerships.
- To collaborate with colleagues from across the UK Government as well as Danish governmental departments and regions.
- To identify key FDI opportunities with DK companies focussing on value
- Work closely with the wider embassy including Scottish colleagues, FCDO incl. SIN network as well as OGD across WH.

Our ideal candidate shows:
- A strong knowledge of the AI & Quantum Industries sectors in Denmark;
- Experience working X-HMG on attracting FDI to the UK;
- A fast learner who can demonstrate initiative, resilience, and adaptability;
- An experienced networker with existing relationships in Denmark;
- A team player with a consultative approach who can collaborate within a geography and ‘virtual team’ to achieve common objectives;
- fluency in written and spoken English (C2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) and Danish (B1 level).
