About the Role 

The Weber River Partnership is seeking a Watershed Coordinator to enhance collaborative efforts in protecting and restoring the health of our basin. This position will play a critical role in coordinating diverse stakeholders, developing actionable restoration priorities, and ensuring long-term monitoring and outreach strategies are in place. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Stakeholder coordination: Facilitate communication and collaboration among local governments, community groups, landowners, and partner organizations. 
  • Database development: Create and maintain a comprehensive database of prioritized restoration actions and projects within the watershed. 
  • Public outreach: Design and implement outreach programs to engage the public, raise awareness, and build community support for watershed health. 
  • Monitoring plan: Develop a five-year monitoring plan to identify and address data gaps, ensuring science-based decision-making for restoration efforts. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, natural-resource management, ecology, or a related field. Individuals with higher level degrees may be prioritized. 
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and environmental planning.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with watershed science, restoration practices, and monitoring methodologies. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse partners.
