For: Newly graduated veterinarians
- Experienced veterinarians seeking specialization in wildlife
- Veterinarians from other countries seeking tropical experience
Duration: Minimum 3 months
Includes:

Volunteer Requirement: 48 hours per week
Required: Valid veterinary degree
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience ideal
- Primary medical care for all animals
- Rescues and releases
- Emergencies
- Supervision of student interns
- Medical protocols
- Preventive medicine programs
- Feeding of newborns
- Feeding and medication of hospitalized animals
- Under supervision and/or instructions of the attending veterinarian
- Unique experience with Costa Rican wildlife
- Learn about these animals with lead veterinarian
- Networking with centers in the region
- International professional references
