Job Description:

Role and Responsibility

  • Work closely with program team, stake holders and commodity staff for the smooth implementation of AAP approach, integration of protection and Gender perspective in distribution activity.

  • Electronically collect compliant and feedback using available digital accountability and monitoring platforms

  • Work closely with WFP, UNHCR, RCC and WVE GFD team other so as to all pre distribution and post distribution activities are carried out according to the operational SoP and minimum standard

  • Ensure that the community being receiving the assistance is well communicated about entitlement and informed about safeguarding, PSEA, and AAP

  • Work closely with WV HAP, Protection and MEAL team to ensure collection of quality CFR data and management of data. Quality and on time reports will be shared and use as an input for adjustment and program design

  • Establishing strong partnership and work relationship with partners stakeholders

  • Ensure application of do-no harm approach in the service delivery

Educational level required:

· BA/BSc Degree in Sociology, Social Science, Social work, Gender studies, Disaster Management, Rural Development, Economics & Dev’s. Studies and any other related field of studies with minimum of five (2) years of experience

Experience:

  • At least 2 years relevant experience in AAP, Gender, child protection and safeguarding program design and management.

  • Experience with and knowledge of AAP, AGD mainstreaming, gender integration, and protection mainstreaming in food assistance programing.

  • Good knowledge of concepts, approaches, and application of gender marker, safeguarding policies and best practices in gender integration and protection mainstreaming.

Additional Requirements:

  • Understanding of international protection and gender standards.

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct assessments and studies, including gender audits and protection risk analyses.

  • Experience with capacity strengthening and partnership building.

  • Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Web Conferencing Applications, information management systems.

  • Demonstrated commitment to accountability to affected populations, and experience working with and meaningfully engaging diverse populations, including pregnant and lactating mothers, persons with disabilities, older adults, and refugees

  • Demonstrated commitment to and application of gender responsive programming and positive action measures towards gender equality, including the participation and leadership of women.

  • Willingness to work under pressure and extra hours.

  • Ability to perform field assignments and willingness to travel for long periods in difficult terrain, harsh and demanding conditions.
