The Role: Junior System Administrator

Scope:

As a member of the Enterprise Technology team, the role holder will be responsible for helping the Senior System Administrator to maintain the infrastructure and systems used to support all of Save the Children International’s IT Infrastructure Environments by collaborating and interacting with other colleagues using the follow-the-sun model. This will include providing Level 3 support on any of the global technologies deployed, proactively utilising monitoring and capacity planning tools to be aware of any potential issues and taking remedial action/escalating where necessary, working on long term infrastructure improvement projects and participating proactively by supporting the L3 engineer community around the world.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

Essential
* Batchelor degree in Information Technology/Network Administration or similar
* Proven experience as a system administrator or similar role
* 3+ years of experience as a system administrator or similar
* Experience working with Active Directory implementations
* Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery
* Experience of designing and deploying new solutions in core Microsoft technologies
* Strong results orientation, with the ability to challenge existing mind sets
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Commitment to Save the Children values
* Fluent Spanish and English language is a must have for this position

Desirable
* JIRA administration
* Azure or any cloud service providers
* Citrix provisioning services
* Knowledge of ITIL processes
* Experience of working as part of a globally distributed team
* Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
* Experience / exposure to the non-for-profit sector and/or developing countries
* Office 365 Cloud services
