A day in the life of a Key Donor Response Coordinator
At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do! We start each day with a time of devotions and prayer. We hear from members of our staff, both from IHQ and our global offices, as well a special guest speakers who encourage us in God’s word. We then join together to prayer for one another, as well as praying for staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. We get paid to start each day this way!
Job Duties
- Implements, coordinates, and provides quality assurance for time-sensitive correspondence to key supporters in relation to their specific gifts to Samaritan’s Purse and BGEA
- Maintains a working knowledge of ministry donor database and systems, including data entry, account maintenance and report processing
- Assists with the coordination of special donor lists
- Compiles relevant donor comments and statistics for the director as requested, monitoring daily comments in order to bring issues to Management’s attention as needed
- Follows up with other departments to resolve donor-related issues as needed
- Reviews processes and procedures related to donor response, giving input and suggestions for quality management and streamlining
- Provides back-up general administrative support for office as needed
- Follows policies and procedures of Samaritan’s Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual
- Attends daily morning devotions and participates in prayer support for the ministry, its donors and volunteers

Qualifications & Experience
- Maintains a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public
- Minimum of a High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Possesses the skill of reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Demonstrates ability to write routine correspondence
- Capable to problem solve while displaying the use of discernment
- Knowledgaeble in basic math principles such as addition, subtraction, and multiplication
- Applying common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations
