Knowledge Intern, PACE

This is a full-time internship for 6 months, starting in May or June and based in The Hague. You must be a registered student in a University or Higher Education institution in The Netherlands for the full duration of the internship to be eligible for this internship.

This internship provides an opportunity to advance your knowledge base on a broad range of subjects in circular economy. Guided by the PACE Knowledge Lead, you will develop quality answers to given research questions through literature study and interviews, feeding into knowledge products (a previous example is the Circular Economy Action Agenda) or (high-level) events led by PACE.

You will be able to develop skills highly relevant for next career steps as e.g. analysts or consultants, including conducting research and analysis in a practical manner, as well as translating findings into clear messages for different stakeholder groups.

Candidates should demonstrate experience in the following areas:

  • Background in environmental science, economics, or a similar discipline. Master students preferred.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, including identifying relevant information and judging its credibility.
  • Broad interest and curiosity. You may be asked to research topics outside of your “home field”.
  • Good communication skills, to explain findings of own research and analysis in a clear, simple manner.
  • Good writing skills (English).
  • Team player – being flexible and supportive is important in our small, fast-paced team.
  • Able to work with sufficient autonomy including time management.

Internship Qualifications

Students must be registered at a college or university in The Netherlands for the full duration of the internship.

Compensation

This internship offers a reimbursement of 300 euros per month.

Duration

This is a full-time, six-month internship, ideally starting between May and June (there is some flexibility based on the student’s availability).
