Lecturer Pool – Political Science


Job Summary

The Political Science Department at Central Washington University is accepting applications to fill current and future full-time, part-time, quarterly and annual appointment lecturer positions to teach undergraduate classes in the courses/subject areas listed below. This list is not all inclusive: other courses/subject areas may become available within the department.

Lower division Introduction to Politics and American Politics courses and upper division courses in U.S., international relations, and comparative politics. Candidates should specify sub-areas they are able to teach for upper level courses.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree in political science or government.

Teaching experience at the college level.

Preferred Qualifications

PhD in Political Science or government.

Applicable Centers/Sites: Ellensburg (main campus), Sammamish, Des Moines, Lynnwood, Moses Lake, Pierce County, Wenatchee, Yakima

Additional Information: This announcement will be used to develop a pool of applicants for positions in the department of Political Science through March 2022. There is a possibility that selected applicants may be called on short notice to fill lecturer vacancies on a quarter-by-quarter basis.

Screening of applications begins immediately and will continue as needed. The number of lecturer positions filled varies from quarter to quarter, depending upon the needs of the department. Positions typically start at the beginning of an academic quarter. Your application will be maintained in this pool for consideration through March 2022.
