Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence with BAHAR policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines.
  • Implement delegated support function portfolio according to the plan of action.
  • Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
  • Ensure proper filing of documents.
  • Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function.
  • Ensure proper implementation of security measures.
  • Uphold integrity and confidentiality.
  • Conduct situational monitoring and analysis.
  • Support the HRAM with keeping a smooth professional relationship with Gov departments, ministries more specifically with IKMAA, DNGO, Visa, and Residency offices.
  • Drafting BAHAR official letters to Government officials.
  • Following up on Government and authorities’ letters.
  • Archiving all the letters from and to Government officials.
  • Administrating staff attendance sheets and timesheets.
  • Preparing proposal summary cover letter and following up with IKMAA’s requests regarding this.
  • When directed, the Liaison Officer shall seek and provide information and establish communication with government Offices, Police, Border Authorities, etc., and be able to represent the organizational purposes, principles, and projects.
  • The Liaison Officer (Erbil/CO) is expected to up-to-date knowledge of a broad range of Got policies and procedures and can explain BAHAR
  • The Liaison Officer is responsible to provide support to BAHAR response on relevant programs and projects.
  • Support BAHAR staff in case of encountering any legal issues with the authorities.
  • Obtain a summary of the meetings and visits to the Government offices, the liaison organizations, etc.
  • Determine companies/agencies/non-governmental organizations already involved in the legal
  • process in the hosting country, and whether they are assisting (have tactical equipment and/or personnel assigned to the organization), or cooperating any departments
  • The Liaison Officer will obtain cooperating and assisting agency information like contact person(s), Phone numbers, Cooperative agreements, etc.
  • Do all required paperwork and liaison to ensure visa applications are accurate and timely & be aware of all visa application for Visitor/ staff, renewal requirements, and National regulations, and ensure that CD/SMT are aware of them
  • Ensure that all applications for visitors and new expatriate staff are completed fully and on time Track visa expiry dates and ensure timely renewal requests
  • Any additional duties as required.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Degree-level in a Business Administration, management, Law or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in the same related field.
  • Advance Level of IT Skills, Negotiation Skills, General Knowledge about logistics and Market Infrastructure
  • Good relationship with local authority and governorate, Rigorous and adaptable, Very Good Organization Skills, Integrity and Sense of Confidentiality and Discretion, Proactive and Good Team Spirit, Able to Work under pressure, and Willingness to work for extra hours as necessary.
  • Language Skills: Very Good spoken and written English: mandatory, Very Good Spoken and written Kurdish: Mandatory, Spoken, and written Arabic: Preferably.
  • Staff performance, commitment to JD, development, and fulfillment of extra emergency tasks out of the scope of work.
