Essential
- Significant experience of programme delivery in emergency contexts.
- Experience of strengthening and sustaining stakeholder relationships in comparable contexts.
- Strong existing networks with education organisations in the duty station.
- Commitment to Street Child’s mission and values.
- Commitment to protecting the rights of children in all circumstances
- Commitment to localisation and locally led action
- Credibility in advice provision, with a high degree of responsiveness and reliability
- Credibility and conviction in conveying Street Child’s role in serving conflict affected populations and advocating for their rights
- Comprehensive understanding of sectoral trends and targets (humanitarian/Development etc)
- Demonstrable success in supporting and strengthening complex, cross-cultural teams
- Demonstrable success in supporting and strengthening programmes in prioritised areas
- Excellent interpersonal and public presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Reflective, responsive and respectful towards communities and colleagues
- Resilient in challenging circumstances
Desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in a subject relevant to the role or equivalent experience.
- Substantial experience and record of donor relations, advocacy or local organisation capacity development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in relevant languages (including the national language of the duty station)
Salary
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Initial 9 months, expectation of extension
Salary: Competitive
