MAIN GOAL

the logistician provides technical and organizational support to our medical programs. His job is to plan, coordinate and monitor all logistics related activities in the project and provide support to medical care activities, according to our protocols and standards to ensure optimal project management.

Responsibility

  • Assist the project coordinator or logistic coordinator in the definition and follow-up of the logistic activities in the project, in collaboration with the medical department to identify and respond to the needs of the beneficiaries.
  • Monitoring and implementation of logistics / technical activities in the project, including:

  • Logistics: construction, transportation of goods and personnel, communications, water and sanitation, vehicles and engines, equipment / installations and infrastructures, communications, installation and maintenance of functional offices and accommodation facilities for international staff in adequate living conditions

  • WHS: implementation of water, sanitation and sanitation activities

  • Supply: implementation and maintenance of an appropriate supply chain for the project

  • Implementation of all administrative activities related to logistics (orders, insurance, vehicle contracts).

  • Planning and implementation of activities associated with human resources (recruitment, training, briefing / debriefing, evaluation, identification of potential, development and communication) of logistics personnel.

  • Ensure the technical reference for all logistical / technical issues of the project and provide technical assistance to the logistics staff under his responsibility. Ensure that all Project staff are adequately informed on the use of communication tools (portable, HF / VHF, etc.).

  • Definition and monitoring of the technical aspects of the project risk reduction policy and preparation of the technical aspects of the project safety policy. To this end, the Project Logistics Manager will have to create an appropriate environment to facilitate the exchange of safety information.

  • Participation in the preparation of monthly reports

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Secondary education and technical diploma or technical university degree (such as architecture or engineering)
  • At least two years of work experience in logistics-related activities, covering at least two of the following areas: mechanics, hydraulics, construction, electrical systems, radio and telecommunications, procurement.
  • Knowledge of English and French (B2 level)

PREFERENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience with other NGOs and work experience in developing countries.
  • Other desirable languages: Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic level B2

Minimum availability of 9/12 months
