The Clerk uses and operates a variety of equipment, provides excellent face-to-face client service, and ensures that mail & courier requests are processed efficiently and in a timely manner. The Clerk also provides administrative support and assistance to the line manager and within the team. Essential qualifications: Candidates will initially be screened against the Essential Qualifications relating to education, experience and language. Candidates must clearly demonstrate in their cover letter and CV how they meet each of these essential qualifications. Education: • GCSE or equivalent (i.e. High School Diploma) Language: • *Fluency in English (oral, written, comprehension). * Fluency will be assessed by a variety of means including written assessment and interview. Experience: • Minimum of 3 months recent* work experience in an office environment in a clerical/administrative support role. *Recent is defined as within the last five years Rated Requirements The Rated Requirements relating to knowledge, abilities and competencies will also be assessed. Methods of assessment may include, but are not limited to, a written examination, an oral interview, role-play, practical tests, presentations and/or psychometric assessment. Knowledge: • Knowledge of general office procedures Abilities/Competencies: • Attention to detail • Good IT skills using Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) • Client focus • Good organizational skills • Team player Asset Qualifications: Preference may be given to candidates who meet the Asset Qualifications. Where applicable, candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet any asset qualifications in their cover letter and CV. • Previous experience with mail room services • Knowledge of SAP financial system • Experience purchasing office supplies and with stock control Organizational Needs: Operational Requirements: • Occasional overtime may be required. Condition(s) of Employment: • Hours of work will be 37.5 per week, worked Monday to Friday at times to be arranged by the supervisor. • Any job offer is subject to receipt of satisfactory employment and character references and the ability to obtain and maintain a Reliability Status security screening (including a criminal record check and financial check). • Copies of educational qualifications will be required at the interview stage of the process. • Successful candidate must have the required documentation allowing the right to work in the UK.
