Solar Heat Europe/ESTIF is the voice of the solar thermal industry in Europe. The association represents the interests of the solar heating and cooling industry, actively promoting the use of these technologies in Europe. Its membership covers the whole solar thermal value chain, from collector manufacturers to component suppliers, research institutes, service providers, national solar thermal and renewable energies associations.
Internship overview:
We are looking for a graduate, with a commitment to renewable energy and willing to work on topics related to business intelligence, including market statistics, energy economics or technological developments tracking, carrying out data collection and data analysis.
Main Tasks:
- Support the work on solar thermal heat business intelligence, helping to develop insights and analytical studies on technological, economical and market aspects of solar thermal technology.
- Contribute to the analysis of developments and trends in solar heat markets and help gather market statistics, primarily in Europe but also other regions.
- Support the analysis of solar thermal technology R&D actions, mainly in Europe but also other regions.
- Support economic analysis of solar thermal technology and other RES, in particular for heating and cooling.
- To collaborate in the production of reports, papers and articles.
- Conduct phone interviews, online surveys and desk research.
- To contribute, as required, to the overall work of the association and perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Required skills:
- Degree in an analytical discipline such as Economics, Statistics or related field required.
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English, with good drafting skills.
- Excellent analytical skills, with attention to detail, and accuracy.
- Skilled MS Excel user. Proficient in MS office applications and SharePoint. Knowledge of SQL is an asset.
- Knowledge of spoken and written German and/or French is an asset.

The contract will be subject to Belgian law. The successful applicant will be offered a “convention d’immersion professionnelle” starting in July for a duration of six to nine months.
