Experience / Training
Mandatory skills:
- Medical Doctor or nurse profile preferred with 2 years of work experience
- Commitment to humanitarian principles and to MET’s mandate
- Adaptability to changing circumstances, you enjoy supervising and assisting a constant stream of new medics, you are suited to working in a dynamic and challenging environment
- Fluency in English
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience in leading a team
Desired skills:
- Tropical medicine & hygiene diploma
- Public health degree
- Previous experience working or volunteering with displaced or vulnerable people
- Knowledge of French, Greek, Farsi, Kurdish or Arabic is a plus
- Ability to work under pressure with a high level of personal organization and flexibility
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
- Proactive, hardworking and conscientious
Salary
Location: Samos, Greece
Status: Full time, working hours to be adjusted to the situation and expected to be flexible
Starting date: 01/07/2021 (with a handover period)
Contract: Volunteer contract, minimum 6 months
Compensation: Living expenses reimbursement up to 500€ (covered expenses include groceries and accommodation within the limit previously mentioned)*
*MET can organize accommodation in one of the shared volunteers houses.
