In the countries where we work, our doctors are always on the front line to bring free medical care in hundreds of projects and in multiple contexts: from conflicts to natural disasters to health emergencies.
In particular, the activities of internists include, in addition to those of diagnosis, treatment and planning of medical activities, also those to be carried out in case of emergencies.
Responsibility
- Diagnosis, treatment and planning of medical activity with the appropriate use of drugs and devices referring to the existing MSF guidelines and protocols
- Strong component of multi-professional concerted action of the different health profiles present in the projects
- Evaluation and review of medical actions / strategies with members of the expatriate and national multi-professional team
- Data collection and subsequent analysis, also epidemiologically

Continuous sharing of activities with local staff
Essential requirements

Degree in medicine and surgery

Specialty Certificate if present

Registration in the Register of Doctors of the municipality of residence

Proven professional experience carried out independently

Tropical medicine course if no other representative experiences have been made in low or middle income countries, except for professionals in the field of First Aid – Resuscitation – Intensive Care – Operating Room

Knowledge of English and French

Availability of 6-12 months in non-urgency / emergency situations (the duration of the mission may vary based on professional maturity and the diversity of contexts)
Preferential requirements

Other specific medical experiences related to basic professionalism, such as reproductive health, emergency, pediatrics, orthopedics, HIV tuberculosis, infectious / tropical diseases

Representative foreign experiences, added value if in the humanitarian field

Knowledge of languages such as: Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic
