GNDR is seeking a Membership Engagement Coordinator to support GNDR’s network of member organisations. Applicants can be based in London, The Hague, Bangkok, Nairobi or Dakar.
GNDR is a network of organisations across 127 countries striving to build resilience of disaster-prone communities. We have an exciting opportunity for a Membership Engagement Coordinator to oversee a key aspect of our work, coordinating the engagement of GNDR members across the network. The role supports organisations to share learning with others across the network so that they are better able to implement Risk Informed Development and allows members to engage in lobbying and campaigns to promote Risk Informed Development to national, regional and global policy makers.
Candidates must have a background in international development, with a relevant degree and experience working in either development or humanitarian sectors, with a good understanding of the issues surrounding disasters, resilience, and development. All candidates must have substantial experience in communications roles, with familiarity of a wide range of communications methods and tools. Candidates should also have experience of working with networks, and have excellent communications skills, including excellent written and spoken fluency in English. Candidates should have networking and representational skills. Fluency in French or Spanish is desirable.
Candidates must have the legal right to live and work in either the UK, Netherlands, Thailand, Kenya or Senegal to be based in one of our offices. Candidates from other countries will not be considered.
GNDR offers a competitive salary plus pension, specific to the location. Please note expatriate benefits are not offered.
