Experience / Training
Education:
- knowledge of HR, general management practices and the humanitarian sector
- computer literate and able to quickly learn the software programs and applications used to facilitate WoW courses, including Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Mural and other platforms.
Experience required: 2+ years MSF field experience, ideally at a coordination level and in different contexts
Languages: English and French, Arabic desirable
Skills and aptitudes:
The MIO WoW Facilitator must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be culturally sensitive and at ease working with a diverse range of group dynamics. They should be able to demonstrate they can:
- clearly summarize complex concepts and absorb and process information on a range of topics and presented in a variety of formats
- promote participative discussions and learning, and to encourage respectful expression and debate from differing opinions
- be a skilled and engaging public speaker and active listener, and ask effective questions
- model MSF’s principles
- adapt learning activities to suit a wide range of training situations, while still finishing sessions on time
- be confident leading and demonstrating creative, non-traditional learning activities
- model and provide examples of what it means to be an experienced team manager
- use their knowledge and practical experience to apply adult learning principles
- model self-awareness and self-control
Preferred qualifications:
- familiarity with OCP operational management practices and organizational functioning
- experience facilitating a WoW (or Field Management Training – FMT) course or have attendance at a WoW or FMT course as a participant
Salary
Status: Field contract until the end of 2021
Conditions:
- Salary according to the MSF salary grid and your previous relevant experience.
- Transport, accommodation, vaccinations, per diem and medical insurance are taken in charge by MSF
- Extra benefit package is foreseen for families accompanying
Expected starting date: 1 July 2021
