How can you make a difference?
- Preparing relevant guidelines, recommendations, and standard operating procedures on waste management in Ukraine related to COVID-19 vaccination campaign in Ukraine.
- Managing waste management program inventory related to COVID-19 vaccination campaign in Ukraine.
- Capacity building of personnel involved into the waste management at the national, regional and local levels.
- Preparing relevant recommendations, regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOP) on waste management as relevant to support vaccination campaign against COVID-19 and their further coordination and communication with national, regional and local authorities and partners.
- Supporting data collection, analysis, monitoring, and evaluation on waste management, as well as its further communication of the developed recommendations to the MOH and other stakeholders on how to improve the situation.
- Participating in relevant meetings, seminars, workshops, and coordinating relevant information with partners and donors, as well as to advocate for needed changes in the health care system especially as it relates to the activities aimed to support regional state administration’s effort and other ongoing decentralization processes in the country.
- Identifying capacity building needs for health care staff on waste management at the national, regional, district, and facility levels.
- Supporting with organizing and providing capacity building activities of the personnel responsible for waste management at the national, regional, district, and facility levels that includes but not limited to preparation of relevant training materials, facilitation of training sessions etc.
- Supporting at the supervision and inspection of 25 visits to the regional health departments, vaccine storage facilities and other relevant institutions at all levels of health care system (national, regional, district, and facility levels) with the aim to assess their readiness and implementation of relevant recommendations, regulations, tools and standard operating procedures (SOP) on waste management.
- Develop the final report with technical recommendations.
Deliverables:
- Relevant guidelines and recommendations on waste management related to COVID-19 vaccination campaign in Ukraine are prepared and submitted to UNICEF in MS Word format in Ukrainian till 01/11/2021
- Relevant standard operating procedures on waste management related to COVID-19 vaccination campaign in Ukraine are prepared and submitted to UNICEF in MS Word format in Ukrainian till 01/01/2022
- Relevant data collection, analysis, monitoring, and evaluation on waste management is collected and submitted to UNICEF in MS Excel or other IT programs till 01/03/2022
- Recommendations on how to improve waste management are prepared in Ukrainian language and submitted to UNICEF and other partners in MS Word and PowerPoint Presentation as relevant till 11/07/2022
- Report of the participated meetings, seminars, workshops, and capacity building activities are prepared and submitted to UNICEF in Ukrainian language till 21/07/2022
- Undertake supervisory 25 missions to the regions are completed till 11/07/2022
- Final consultancy report is prepared with technical recommendations is prepared in MS Word Document in English and submitted to UNICEF till 07/08/2022
