New Business and Proposal Development Specialist


The Opportunity

Save the Children LAC RO is currently recruiting for an experienced specialist to support New Business and Proposal Development in the LAC region. We are looking for a committed professional with a proven track record in resource mobilisation, relationship management and proposal development in both humanitarian and development contexts, and experience in coordinating and collaborating with country offices and partners. The position can be based in Panama, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua or Peru.  

 

Key areas of responsibility

  • Develop high quality, rights-based and gender-sensitive proposals based on solid evidence.
  • Coordinate with technical and other regional and country staff to bring together necessary information and resources.
  • Contribute to identify and track donor opportunities.
  • Support donor engagement.
  • Provide support to country offices in new business and proposal development.

 

To be successful you will have:

  • Experience of successful proposal writing and funding development, especially with donors related to Save the Children’s thematic areas.
  • Program design skills, including capacity to prepare logical, coherent and consistent proposal documents including logical frameworks.
  • Coordination and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate clearly and effectively at all levels and pull together input from a diverse team.
  • Excellent English writing/editing skills and experience in presenting project information to donors and partners.
  • Proven representation and relationship management.  
  • Experience in training and mentoring others remotely and on-site.
