Forum is a pan-European journalistic platform and digital media company. Every day, Forum selects the most relevant articles on Europe’s core debates from leading publications and translates them into various European languages.
We are looking for an experienced Newsletter Manager who will be working closely with the Newsletter Content Manager across the Editorial, Marketing and Partnerships teams to sharpen Forum’s newsletter strategy, ensuring the company produces the right newsletters for our target audience.
The ideal candidate should have experience conceiving, building, launching, and improving newsletters. A background working with news organisations or in the media industry is a big plus!
What will you do?
- Coordinate our newsletter strategy from conceptualisation to implementation in all Forum languages with the help of our marketing, development and translation teams.
- Track the relevant metrics and manage newsletter reporting to drive future improvements. Advise on changes to editorial strategy based on reporting.
- Work closely with our marketing team to identify our target audience and grow our newsletter communities.
- Create and drive our newsletter sponsorship strategy.
- Manage communication with subscribers to help build loyal relationships and minimise churn, converting users of the Forum platform into newsletter subscribers and vice versa.
- Ensure our newsletters follow industry standards, best practices and are compliant with relevant EU privacy policies.
- Work with our design team on newsletter design.
What should you bring?
- You have 3 or more years experience in email marketing, digital marketing or a related field, preferably in an online media industry.
- You have significant experience working with email marketing tools and CRM systems. You’re a pro at mapping customer journeys, A/B testing, checking-up on GDPR compliance etc.
- You’re familiar with the editorial newsletter landscape and are keen to keep up with the industry’s latest trends and new technologies.
- You have previous experience conceptualising new newsletters and implementing successful newsletter strategies. Experience working on the editorial side of newsletter development is very welcome!
- You have data-driven approach. You know what metrics to track and how to base decisions on them. Relevant technical development experience is a big plus!
- You’re a skilled project manager with an organised and structured way of working – you’re able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and can juggle different tasks.
- You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- You have excellent English skills and another Forum language is a must (other languages are a plus!)

Our Newsletter Manager would join the Forum Team in the Berlin headquarters or remotely from any location in Europe.
